A late Victorian walnut salon chair in the Rococo Revival style, the high, intricately carved and pierced back centred by a shaped upholstered panel, set over a generous seat raised on cabriole front legs terminating in brass and ceramic castors.
Upholstered in a charming woven wildflower fabric that gives the piece a bright, country-house feel, perfectly scaled as an elegant occasional seat for a drawing room or principal bedroom suite. The reverse of the back is fully finished, upholstered and polished to the same high standard as the front, allowing the piece to be placed confidently away from walls or beside a fireplace.
Very good antique condition with some minor surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
