Bow Front Corner Display Cabinet C.1930

Description

Georgian style mahogany bow front corner display cabinet c.1930. In two sections with two shelves in the top (max depth 15") and one in the base (max depth 16"), both with the original silver grey velvet lining. Moulded cornice with Greek key frieze, over bowed glazed doors with pointed arch shaped glazing bars. Mahogany veneered with inlaid stringing to the edges. Shaped apron to the bottom edge between tapering square legs with moulded collars. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.

This Edwardian Revival bow front corner display cabinet originates from around 1930 and is constructed in mahogany with a warm brown polished finish. The piece divides into two sections, featuring a moulded cornice with a Greek key frieze above twin upper glazed doors with Gothic arch astragal bars, and lower glazed doors enclosing shelves. Both tiers retain their original silver grey velvet lining. The edges display inlaid stringing, and brass hardware includes small key escutcheons on the doors. A shaped apron sits above tapering square legs fitted with moulded collars at the base. The cabinet stands 198 cm high, 71 cm wide, and 49.5 cm deep.
