Victorian Button Back Nursing Chair

19th century
Description

A good quality Victorian nursing chair dating from the late 1800s. It has small proportions and is a traditional shape with a buttoned back, deep seat and low arms. It has turned front legs and splayed rear legs terminating in the original castors. It is upholstered in a good quality floral fabric with contrasting piping which compliments the chair.

The chair is in good condition for its age and is very comfortable. The upholstery is not new but is good quality and displays well. There are a few small marks and minor stains but nothing detrimental. It is perfectly usable as it is or provides a good strong frame for recovering.

Width : 21" (53cm)

Depth : 24" (61cm)

Seat Height : 12" (30cm)
