Elegant, refined and beautifully drawn, the chairs have shaped heart-form backs with carved and pierced central splats, fine cabriole front legs and extensive inlaid stringing throughout. The design draws on the grace and lightness of late 18th-century Sheraton furniture, with a particularly delicate silhouette and excellent decorative detail.The chairs have a wonderfully poised appearance, with sweeping backs, slender proportions and crisp, well-executed carving. The mahogany has good colour, while the inlaid stringing gives definition to the frames and emphasises the quality of the design and craftsmanship.
