A semi-elliptical satinwood commode with curved side glazed doors. The fitted interior of one glazed shelf has a pleated silk backing. The marquetry throughout top and side panels is superb in quality; the inner fan in yew is next to sunburst design executed in satinwood with trailing shamrock and floral motifs. The rosewood crossbanding edges towards the boxwood and ebony stringing. The side columns contain further trailing foliate design, with mandolin and fruit. The commode is raised on tapering supports. The centre doors open out and each glazed piece is framed by gilt edging. Solid oak backing.
