Early C19th Regency period gilt-wood framed convex plate mirror of larger scale and proportions.
 
A boldly designed circular framed convex mirror, the deep surround having classically-inspired anthemion style motifs to the quarters. Having an inner ebonised and reeded slip enclosing the mercury silver-grey convex mirror plate which glass achieved a desirable atmospheric degraded ‘foxed’ surface .
 
The gilded frame retains it’s original surface which has a mellow, aged patina . The verso with original back-boards.
