Antique Carved Walnut Mirror with Armorial Crest – C.1880–1900

A charming late 19th century carved walnut wall mirror, distinguished by its decorative armorial crest featuring a helmet and crossed halberds, lending a strong yet refined decorative presence. The frame is crafted in richly toned walnut with beautifully figured burr grain to the lower section, complemented by a moulded inner slip and subtle carved detailing throughout. The shaped outline and crest give the piece a slightly romantic, almost heraldic character typical of the Victorian period. The mirror plate retains a good, clear reflection with light age-related signs consistent with its age, adding to its authenticity without detracting from usability. A highly decorative and versatile piece, equally suited to a hallway, bedroom, or layered into a gallery wall.

Condition:Good antique condition. Minor age-related wear to the frame and light spotting to the plate, as expected. Structurally sound and ready to hang.
