This particular office chair retains what could be an old depository painted label on the underside of the seat, which reads “P.A.C”.

Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique English George V solid oak armless revolving small desk chair, with a newly upholstered green leather seat, circa 1920, which is in excellent condition. Oak was a popular timber of choice for utility office chairs, owing to the natural strength of grain in functional furniture. The small desk chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain dark green distressed leather, which is finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The adjustable height mechanism is in good working order, having been cleaned and restored. There is some play to the revolving mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The legs are fitted with new solid brass castors; therefore, they are in excellent condition. The English antique desk chair boasts a golden-brown colour, having been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. This desk chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
