Antique French Gilt Wood Mirror

Description

A beautiful and extremely well made antique French gilt wood mirror, dating from around the 1880-1900 period.

The quality is outstanding, this is made from a mix of solid wood and gesso, with a gorgeous gilded finish around the original glass mirror.

We have had some minor restoration carried out by our professional gilder, the condition is superb throughout, with just the right amount of patina. The mirror itself has some extremely minor discolouration to some edges of the silvered backing, which is normal for a mirror that is around 120 years old.
