Lutyens ''Napoleon'' Armchair
A rare example, the shape is known to be an Edwin Lutyens design, dating it to 1930 or later. The original was apparently copied from a version seen in a painting of Napoleon that Lutyens had viewed.
Retaining its original feather cushion, which would benefit from additional feathers as it is very, very soft.
Fully sprung seat with traditional upholstery throughout.
Very comfortable, particularly as a reading chair, with the lower arm allowing legs to be comfortably rested over it.
Width 100cm x Depth 73cm x Height 79cm, with a seat width of 56cm seat depth of 59cm and seat height of 45cm.
