This large 19th-century English overmantel mirror comes from the 1880 period. The piece uses gilt wood, glass, and pine, presenting a bright gold finish across its structured surfaces. A moulded frame surrounds the reflective glass, complemented by an upper spindle gallery and turned corner finials at the top. The timber shows visible natural wear and ageing marks along the gilded mouldings and joints. The original backboards remain intact behind the frame.
