An overmantel mirror is a large architectural wall mirror designed specifically to hang above a fireplace mantelpiece, popularised during the 18th and 19th centuries in European homes.

These mirrors were typically constructed from carved softwood or pine frames covered in gesso, finished with hand-applied gold leaf, and fitted with thick plate glass or mercury-backed glass.
