This beautiful mirror has a fantastic and original late 18th Century swept giltwood frame of superb quality and carved with foliage, vines, scrolls and scallop shells. It originally was a picture frame but is now fitted with a lovely bevelled mirror plate – mid to late 19th century - in excellent condition.
The glass is very deep which gives it an attractive soft hue and gives a crystal clear reflection.
Original gilt finish to the frame without any significant restorations and the mirror is solid and stable, with only minor age related wear.
Dimensions are:
24.5 inches wide by 23 inches high.
The mirror plate is 15.5 inches wide by 13.5 inches high.
For metric please multiply by 2.5
