A 19th century snuff box in the form of a monk.This lovely 19th century snuff box carved as a monk has some great details. The lovely carved  and painted face and beard, his clothes with belt and cross, along with two opening panels. The one at the back is for snuff and the one at the front is for fun or to shock!

This type of snuff box is difficult to find.

It measures 11.5cm h x 3.8cm w.
