Antique Pine Blanket Box

Description

A neatly proportioned antique Victorian pine trunk. The trunk features a hinged lid opening to reveal a spacious interior. Exposed dovetail joints to the corners highlight the quality of construction, while metal carry handles to either side allow for easy lifting and transport. The piece is raised on bracket feet with a shaped apron, adding to its classic Victorian character.

CONDITION REPORT:

The piece is in good antique condition overall, showing signs of age consistent with its period. There is general surface wear throughout, including age-related marks and scratches, along with some minor staining (as pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, which is long inactive and has been treated as a precaution. Despite these imperfections, the trunk remains solid and sturdy. Each item in our collection is thoroughly inspected, repaired, and restored by our experienced carpenter to ensure it is fully prepared for use in your home.
