An oak-framed large Orkney chair, probably by ‘David Kirkness’, with the classic oak straw back tied off with marram grass, the simple shaped arms supported on sturdy uprights, with drop in marram grass seat, the arms and the back fixed to the sides with brass rounded-headed screws, all resting on square tapering legs braced by conforming stretchers
