Description

A beautiful antique mahogany tub armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1820-40’s period.

It is of outstanding quality and has a very fine design, with lovely proportions and slim edges. The edges of the upper frame have beautifully gadrooned carving, this sits on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees and scrolled feet.

The mahogany frame has been re-polished and upholstered in a high quality Harris Tweed grey wool fabric, the condition is excellent for its age.
