A charming and unusual early 20th century carved oak box, in the Gothic manner.
c1920.
With beautifully carved tracery designs to the front of this very charming chest of medium sized proportions.
The sides are also beautifully decorated with a carved linen-fold design.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a decent sized storage area.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition. With minor expected general signs of age and use. The original lock has been historically removed and a blank brass plate added to fill its space.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
