FAQs

The Gothic Revival movement drew inspiration from medieval architecture and design, gaining significant popularity during the 19th century as a reaction against industrial manufacturing.

Authentic pieces were typically constructed from solid native timbers like oak, utilizing traditional joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon joints.

Authenticity is determined by inspecting the tool marks, timber shrinkage, hand-cut joinery, and the natural patina developed on the wood over centuries.

This piece can serve as a functional coffee table or accent storage unit, contrasting effectively against minimalist walls and modern textiles.

Keep the wood away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and periodically treat it with traditional beeswax to maintain the moisture and finish of the timber.
