The interior is lined in soft pale velvet designed to reflect light and highlight decorative pieces or fine collectibles.

The cabinet is richly adorned with gilt-bronze floral mounts, classical corner embellishments, and moulded framing. The shaped apron is mounted with a finely cast ormolu mount, and the piece stands on elegant cabriole legs with gilt sabots, typical of the refined French craftsmanship of the mid-19th century.

With its graceful proportions, exquisite detailing, and refined presence, this cabinet perfectly embodies the luxury and artistry of Second Empire France.
