Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Treen refers to small, functional wooden objects made by hand or on a lathe, popular for domestic use from the 17th century onwards.

Makers typically used dense hardwoods such as boxwood, beech, sycamore, and fruitwoods to withstand heavy use and allow for fine turning on a lathe.

Authentic pieces display tool marks from lathe turning, signs of natural wear, and a deep patina developed through handling over centuries.

Display these objects on bookshelves, mantelpieces, or side tables to introduce organic texture and historical warmth to modern interiors.

Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth and apply microcrystalline wax occasionally to protect the wood, avoiding water and harsh cleaning chemicals.
