Description

A fine early Victorian mahogany ex-pistol box, dating to around 1840. Crafted from rich mahogany and reinforced with brass strapping throughout, this piece showcases both strength and elegance, characteristic of the period.

The box features a central vacant brass cartouche and an escutcheon to the front (no key present). The interior is empty but cushioned, offering versatility for repurposing as a jewellery box, collector’s case, or simply as a decorative antique.
