Royal Crest Coromandel Box 1850

Description

A superb quality mid-19th century Victorian coromandel box with fine brass strapwork overlay, dating to circa 1850. The rich coromandel veneer is beautifully complemented by intricate brass mounts, giving the box a striking and luxurious appearance.

The interior is equally impressive, lined in vibrant green with a gilt-embossed Royal Crest to the inside of the lid. The box features chased brass interior fittings and retains its registered lock with working key, a desirable feature for collectors.
