Circa 1900, oak framed, David Kirkness style Orkney chair. With an old straw back, tied together with marram grass and a row of marram grass over the straw at the top. It retains its original drop-in marram grass seat and has a classic Kirkness style curled arm. The arms and back are screwed in place at the sides, with some wear to the arms. Its legs are square and tapering.
