For your consideration I am delighted to offer this lovely example of a John Walker eight day fusee wall clock originally supplied to London & South Western railways in 1909. The wire-driven movement has rectangular plates with an anchor escapement and has been fully overhauled so benefits from my three year guarantee.The eight inch dial is in lovely condition and has been fully and tastefully restored with ''John Walker, 1 South Molton Street, B. R (S), London 9049 S.W'' applied. The rear of the dial has all the usual annotations you would demand from an authentic piece of railwayana and the clock retains its original cast brass bezel and spade hands. The bezel locks securely into a tab.The mahogany case surround has fantastic colour and patination since its restoration. The circular surround is pegged to the back box in the usual classic manner.
