John Walker Railway Clock, 8 Inch, Stunning

I am delighted to offer another great example of a John Walker eight day fusee wall clock originally supplied to London & North Western railways in circa 1910.
 
The wire-driven movement has rectangular plates with an anchor escapement and has been fully overhauled so benefits from my three year guarantee.
 
The eight inch dial is in lovely condition and has been fully and tastefully restored with ''John Walker, 1 South Molton Street, L.M.S.R, London'' applied. The rear of the dial has the usual annotations you would expect and the clock retains its original cast brass bezel with heavy bevelled glass and spade hands. The original cast bezel locks securely into a tab.
 
The one piece turned mahogany surround has fantastic colour and patination since its restoration. The circular surround is pegged to the back box in the usual classic manner with a working lock to the lower door, the usual side inspection door and lower stabilising hooks.
