The rectangular plate anchor escapement movement, with shaped shoulders, has just benefitted from a full overhaul so the clock enjoys a three year guarantee. The superbly restored 12 inch dial bears the same details as the identifying oval brass plaque to the side of the clock. Whilst the clock dates from the 1900s the original dial has been repainted by the Doncaster clock works when the railways underwent significant operational changesWith a rare ebonised finish this truly is a striking piece of furniture. The case benefits from stabilising hooks, a lower and side door (both locking) and the dial section is paired to the back box in a standard design.
