It was listed by Prior and Willis. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Prior and Willis has dated this Antique Overmantle Mirror to the 19th Century.
This rare and visually striking piece is perfect for vintage, rustic, industrial, or eclectic interiors, bringing dramatic character to entrance halls, fireplaces, or feature walls.
An uncommon and impressive find, the frame is structurally sound with no loose joints or signs of woodworm. The original mirror glass is richly aged, showing heavy oxidation with attractive spiderweb-style patterns, enhancing its authentic antique charm. There is a small 1cm chip in the glass—not near the edge and non-progressive—as well as scratches and other age-related imperfections, all consistent with its age.
