Antique Regency Gilt Bronze Chain Fusee Mantel Clock With Spaniel Dogs Working.This beautiful single fusee mantel clock has a bronze cast with gilt bronze aspects. The movement is housing is gilt bronze with a beautiful shaped, gilt bronze stand featuring a floral, scrolling design to the front. This is then flanked by two beautifully cast bronze spaniels on their hind legs. The piece then has a further bronze stand with a gilt bronze panel to the front featuring a lions head. There is then a further bronze base with another gilt bronze panel featuring a scrolling design, a bearded mans head and two cherubs / putti. Finally the clock is finished by four gilt bronze, lions paw feet.The dial is then enamel and set out in black roman numerals with a thin ring of dashes to the outside marking the minutes. The dial is then finished by two lovely shaped hands as well as a gilt bronze surround.The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a chain fuse...
