N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Fusee Ormolu Cherub Clock to the 19th Century.
This housing is then held by a beautiful kneeling cherub giving the clock a truly unique and beautiful look. The cherub then sits on a stunning, shaped marble base with a fantastic orange colour. The pendulum is then an external example so can by seen ticking when the clock is running.
The dial is then gilt bronze and set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring of dashes to the outside marking the minutes. The centre of the dial then has a beautiful engine turned pattern. The dial then has an intricately shaped surround which frames the dial perfectly. Finally the dial has two finely shaped fingers that finish the dial with a same quality as the rest of the clock.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. The movement is a single fusee example of the upmost quality and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key. The movement ticks away as it should. Finally the movement is engraved to the back by the maker “HENRY Berkeley Sq”re London” to show that the clock was made by Henry Berkeley Square London.
A truly rare opportunity to buy a totally unique antique clock of the upmost quality. Would look fantastic in any home or as part of a larger collection.
