Beautiful Papier Mache Tea Caddy Mother of Pearl 19th Century

Description

This 19th-century tea caddy is a stunning example of Victorian craftsmanship, made from papier mache with intricate Mother of Pearl inlaid detail. The dome shape is most appealing and the caddy is in excellent condition with lovely hand painted floral detail. The petals of the flowers are all inlaid pieces of mother of pearl and the lids of the caddy inside have mother of pearl button handles.

The lining is still intact to the two compartments.

A very decorative piece in lovely original condition.

The caddy measures 16 cms high by 26 cms wide and 21 cms deep
