The exceptional carving on each side in high relief gives a 3D effect.
The lid is carved with horses pulling a cart full of people, there are also trees.
On each of the sides are carved women and men again in high relief.
The interior is lined with tortoiseshell which is a nice sign of quality.
c1820/30.
The snuff box measures 9cm w x 5cm d x 3.8cm h.
