A generous George II carved walnut wing armchair; the upholstered back with downswept wings which terminate in outscrolling arms; having a down seat cushion and raised on boldly carved cabriole walnut legs which have acanthus carving to the knee and terminate in claw and ball feet and with the original walnut cabriole legs to the rear. This wing armchair is a particularly handsome example with broad back for comfort coupled with a lovely sweep to the wing arms and bold carving to the legs. The armchair retains its original beech wood frame which has been reupholstered in the traditional manner and the walnut legs have an excellent colour and patination.
