Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The spindles on the back rest and the legs are finely turned and fluted, the legs sit on brass casters.
This is a great size to be used as a generous desk chair or as an occasional armchair / library chair.
We have had the leather hand coloured and revived by our leather restorer, the mahogany has also been re-polished. The condition is excellent with a gorgeous all round patina.
