An outstanding pair of antique William IV period mahogany armchairs. They were made in England, they date from around the 1830-40’s.
They are of superb quality and are a lovely, compact size. The solid mahogany frames are beautifully designed, with beautiful carving on the scrolled arm rests and lovely curved back rests. They stand on finely turned legs, the mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina all round.
We have had the frames stripped and re-polished, they have been fully re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent throughout.
