A great quality set of late regency mahogany dining chairs, upholstered in a hard wearing cream fabric with fleur de lys design and re-polished for a total cost of £1800. These chairs are made from a good quality dense mahogany and are much heavier than their Victorian counterparts with bolt on legs. The shaped top with finely carved acanthus leaves and the central bar similarly carved. With the more rare and highly desirable upholstered panel to support your back these are a really comfortable set of chairs. The legs carved with an elongated inverted lotus leaf design. In excellent condition. Seat height 45cm.C1835.
