A George III period, set of six, leather upholstered, elm framed country dining chairs, dating from the late C18th. These chairs constructed in solid, well figured, English elm, feature Hepplewhite design pierced back splat with camel top rail. Drop in seats recently reupholstered and recovered in the traditional manner, in hand-dyed, tobacco coloured, leather hide. Square tapering front legs, splayed square rear legs, supported by H-stretchers.
A handsome set of high quality country chairs, in very good condition, traditional reupholstered, cleaned, waxed and ready for use.

These chairs measure approximately 97 cm (38.25'') tall, 52 cm (20.5'') wide, and 48 cm (19'') deep. The seat height is approximately 47 cm (18.5'').

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a very good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor age related marks and blemishes on the frames. No loose joints, damage or obvious signs of repair. Reupholstered in the traditional manner, with hand dyed leather hide. Very sturdy, wax polish finish, ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
