This Georgian portrait wall mirror, which is of Chippendale design, is constructed with a walnut frame, decorated with a gilt painted “Hoho” bird pediment, flanked by a finely pierced walnut fretwork frame; the design of which is also reflected below the mirror too, was typical of Chippendale period. The frame is set with a new mirror but the original mirror will be also supplied (if preferred to be used instead). The Chippendale wall mirror is bordered by a carved gilded slip and retains the original backboards. There is a brass hanging loop on the back of the mirror to allow the mirror to be hung on the wall. The mahogany wall mirror measures 2ft 6-inches high x 1ft 6¾-inches wide.

Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Chippendale wall mirror, constructed from walnut and decorated with fine gilt fretwork detail, circa 1890, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks, to the leading edges of the frame, but nothing significant, given the age of the item. The frame is set with a new mirror but the original mirror will be also supplied (if preferred to be used instead). The walnut frame, fretwork carvings and gilt detail is all good original condition.
