Description

Fabulous Scottish leather writing box by 'Carlisle & Watt' complete with working lock and key. The makers stamp 'Carlisle & Watt' can be found both at the back of the box and the interior. This wonderful box is covered in diamond pattern black leather with gilt edging in excellent condition apart from a couple of dents (shown in pictures). The top has a inset brass carry handle and gold tooled M.B. monogram and opens to a gilt tooled leather interior. The striking red leather interior is in outstanding condition throughout and as you can see from the pictures has compartment for everything stationery. This fantastic box is like new and will make the perfect gift for any writer in the family.
