A small and stylish Austrian bronze Art Deco period table box. The box is beautifully made and uses the contrast between the colours of bronze and Verdigris patination to great effect with a simplistic polka dot design. Stylistically the box is difficult to place as the influence of Art Deco, Arts and Crafts, and Modernist elements can be seen in its design and manufacture. The base is marked with ''Made in Austria'' and also has a maker�s mark and various registration marks, I have however been unable to identify the designer or manufacturer.
