A beautiful antique stationery cabinet dating from the mid 19th Century. It is made of the finest Coromandel wood and mounted with ornate gothic style brass corner pieces and escutcheons.
The sloping front opens out to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is also a pen rest and two top quality glass inkwells with brass lids. Below this there is a large drawer that pulls out and there is a writing pad in one door.
It is in good condition throughout and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, some minor shrinkage splits and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It does not come with a key. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
