Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique English Victorian Windsor “penny” seat pair of kitchen chairs, are constructed of solid ash, elm and beech, circa 1880, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges (e.g., seats, back and legs) but nothing significant considering the age of them. No breaks to the chair frames or the stunning single-piece elm penny seats. The chair joints have been glued; therefore, the chairs are solid in joint. The chair frames have been wax-polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore, the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
