Here we have a rare Boston rocking chair in original paint c1840. As you can see the chair has great colour and patina. There is a typical broad top rail and stick back. There are well shaped arms and raised back to the seat. There are long runners and beautifully turned legs. The original black paint has wonderful gilded decoration throughout. If you have never sat in one of these they are the most comfortable of all rocking chairs. The chair is in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 112 cm high 56 cm wide 120 cm deep.
