Howard and Sons armchairs are renowned for their superior craftsmanship, deep sprung comfort, and classic English design originating from the Victorian era.

These chairs typically feature robust beech frames, traditional webbed bases, hand-tied coil springs, and horsehair stuffing, finished with turned mahogany legs and brass castors.

Authenticity is often confirmed by stamped brass castors, stamped back legs, and original paper linings or makers marks underneath the upholstery.

Pair the armchair with a minimalist neutral backdrop to let the traditional pattern and craftsmanship stand out, combining heritage pieces with contemporary lighting and clean-lined furniture.

Protect the fabric from direct sunlight to prevent fading, vacuum regularly using a low-suction attachment, and consult a professional restorer for deep cleaning or frame maintenance.
