This pair of nineteenth-century rustic country Windsor stick back armchairs originates from the Baltic island of Saaremaa. Constructed from elm and beech, the chairs are finished with an ochre yellow mustard paint showing signs of age and wear. Each armchair has a low hoop rail, a spindle back, splayed turned legs joined by an H-stretcher, and shaped armrests.
