HiI have for sale an 1890s French striking and repeating carriage clock made in France by Henri Jacot with the original silvered platform and brass winding key and box with provenance hand written in the case from the original owner''s son, rare horse racing connection.This is one large heavy clock built to top spec and a must for the best of collections the case has been fully restored the movement has had new springs(2) and serviced so not often seen for sale in this condition.The CaseThe case is in solid shiny brass and stands 18cm high x 10cm wide with a depth of 8cm it is in good original condition with mint thick 5mm beveled sides/front/back door and top viewing glass. The case is very heavy and shiny and very hard to photograph they do not do the clock justice at all.The case is engraved on the front Venture the horse''s name and on one side E.H.J. From H.T and on the other the event date and place Beyrout 1894 a rear piece of history captured in time....
