They are sturdy and supportive, with seat pads that can be easily lifted on and off, they are held in place with dowels.
We have had the frames re-polished and the seats re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. They are in excellent condition for their age, with just some minor wear and small marks beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
