Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The piece exhibits a geometric stepped top, a glass-fronted upper display section with two clear glass sliding doors enclosing a clear mirror-backed single plate glass shelf, three drawers fitted with rectangular block handles, a lower cupboard door with a butterscotch bakelite handle, and an open lower shelving section. Suitable for placement in a dining room, living room, or hallway, this cocktail cabinet serves as a functional drinks station or display unit. The interior organisation includes original velour lining in one drawer for utensils, alongside adjustable storage spaces for bottles and dinnerware. The professional restoration maintains the smooth operation of all doors and drawers while preserving the distinctive grain patterns of the walnut timber.

FAQs

Art Deco drinks cabinets from the 1930s feature streamlined geometric silhouettes, rich timber veneers such as figured walnut, and dedicated compartments for glassware and bottles.

These cabinets primarily feature highly figured walnut veneers, solid timber frames, mirrored internal backings, and toughened glass shelves or sliding doors.

Authentic period pieces display hand-applied book-matched wood veneers, dovetail jointed drawers, original timber handles, and characteristic natural age-related patination.

Position the cabinet as a central feature in a dining or living room, pairing its timber grain with neutral wall tones, minimalist metallic accessories, and modern lighting.

Keep the timber away from direct heat sources and direct sunlight, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth, and apply a high-quality beeswax polish twice a year.
