Description

A stunning pair of Art Deco period armchairs, with gorgeous steam bent solid Elm frames. These were made in continental Europe, most likely Sweden, and they date from the 1920-1930’s.

The quality is amazing, they have a striking design and are very comfortable. We have had them recently re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric. The solid elm arms have been stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, they have stunning grain patterns and a gorgeous colour tone. We also replaced the casters with new, solid brass casters.

The condition all round is excellent for their age.

Width – 29 inches , 73 cm

Depth – 35 inches , 89 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Seat height – 14 inches , 36 cm

Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
