Description

Very decorative and very comfortable pair of French armchairs or "fauteuil" with vintage upholstery, but in good useable condition as they are, or you may prefer to have them re upholstered.

I often remove the tassels and replace with a simple braid, in order to see those lovely turned and ebonised legs and change the style of the chair considerably.

The current pale green upholstery is vintage, but is in good condition, you could have it professionally cleaned and keep them as they are. Some marks from age and use, but nothing major

Very comfortable pair, great angle and seat back height, roll arm style and good seat height too.

32'' / 81cm wide

30'' / 76cm deep

Seat height 16'' / 41cm

Internal seat width 17'' / 43cm

Internal seat depth 21'' / 53.5cm

Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
