London City Antiques has dated this Georgian Mahogany Cabinet Bookcase to the 1800s.
The upper section features a finely detailed dentil cornice above an attractive crossbanded frieze.

The lower section incorporates three generously proportioned, full-width drawers, each finished with traditional cockbeaded edges and retaining its original decorative brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The whole stands on original shaped bracket feet, completing its handsome Georgian appearance.

The quality of the mahogany is particularly impressive, with striking grain patterns across the panelled doors and a lovely depth of colour throughout. The combination of elegant architectural detailing, beautifully figured timber and practical storage makes this a splendid example of Georgian cabinetmaking.

An exceptionally versatile piece of antique furniture that would make a wonderful addition to a library, drawing room, study or bedroom, offering generous storage whilst bringing warmth, character and timeless elegance to any interior.
