Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian furniture, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often combined lighter, more graceful proportions inspired by 18th-century Sheraton and Hepplewhite designs with sophisticated craftsmanship and refined wood veneers.

These pieces were typically constructed from dense hardwoods such as mahogany or satinwood, featuring hand-cut dovetail joints, glass panel inserts, and lined interiors using velvet, brocade, or baize fabrics.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate construction methods such as hand-cut joinery, old glass panes with natural imperfections, brass hardware with genuine age patination, and secondary woods like pine or oak on hidden structural components.

An antique display cabinet provides functional vertical storage that contrasts effectively against minimalist neutral walls, serving as a sophisticated focal point for displaying curated collections of ceramics, glassware, or objet dart.

Maintain antique furniture by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent wood splitting, dusting surfaces with a dry microfiber cloth, and occasionally applying a high-quality beeswax to nourish the wood grain.
